The Trail Pack
They carry their own water now and consider it a promotion. Fits both of them, which is more than I can say for the back seat.

Harnesses · Tracy's pick
Two summers of creek crossings, zero rubbed spots. Padded chest, and a handle on top for when a decision has already been made without me.
Safety
Huskies don't come when called. They come when found. Live location and escape alerts straight to my phone, which is how I sleep at night.
Grooming
Coat blowing season is not a season. It's a condition. The only brush that keeps up with two of them.
Water
Clips to the pack, folds flat, holds a full bottle. We own three. Someone keeps losing one and nobody will say who.
Summer
A double coat in summer heat is a design flaw nobody consulted me on. Soak it, wring it, hike on.
Paws
Hot rock, cold pavement, winter salt. A little before and after, and the pads stay intact. The dogs tolerate this with visible contempt.
Leashes
Thirty feet of negotiated freedom for two dogs who regard recall as a suggestion. It floats, which has mattered more than once.
Safety
Small enough to live in the pack, stocked for paws and people. Used exactly once. That once was enough.
